The origin of the word SCHOKBETON comes from a unique method of vibration during the pouring of a dry concrete mixture.

Convinced of the great utility, immense possibilities and profitability of this method of fabricating precast concrete panels, Fernand R. Bibeau became a pioneer of the precast concrete industry and founded SCHOKBETON Inc. in 1962.

During the first years, SCHOKBETON Inc. participates in the realization of several buildings of scale such as the pavilions of Laval universities, Mc Gill and Montreal as well as several governmental and institutional buildings.
